Our nursery offers a warm and nurturing environment for babies and is staffed during all Sunday morning worship services, on Wednesday evenings, and for special events.
The Children’s Ministry of Bayside wants to make a baby’s time in the church nursery a positive, loving, and nurturing time for every baby, while giving every parent the opportunity to seek a growing relationship with God by participating in worship. We have taken the following steps to meet this goal:
Three separate nursery rooms are used to accommodate infants, toddlers, and 2-year-olds.
We are pleased to have a staff of six regular caregivers who offer their love and nurture every week in the same room to the same children. We feel that because our babies see the same smiling faces each week when they arrive at Bayside that it offers them a sense of security and stability. We also value our committed volunteers who are scheduled to rotate.
A two-part label system is used as a communication tool and to ensure each child’s safety.
An electronic vibrating pager system is provided each time a baby is checked into the nursery. If the staff feels that a baby needs his parent for any reason, they will activate the pager so that the parents can best address the child’s needs.
A nursing room is available where moms can care for the baby in a private, cozy atmosphere.
